About Laine

I have raised two daughters to adulthood mostly as a single parent and am now a grandmother. Getting to this stage in my life has been a journey of personal growth and self -discovery, at times exciting and joyful, challenging and painful and certainly transforming.

I became a counsellor because I want to support and guide others who are choosing to embark on their own journey of self-discovery, personal growth and transformation in their lives and relationships, and my training and years of experience both on a personal level and in working with couples and individuals for the past 14 years, enables me to fully understand and appreciate what it takes to make life changing decisions.

I have worked as a Mental Health Practitioner with the NHS for 6 years and Relate for 9 years as a Relationship Therapist, and Clinical Supervisor – working with Couples, Individuals and Young People.  And I have been working independently for 5 years – specifically with couples and individuals who are going through relationship breakdown.  I work with people of any age, gender or sexuality who are experiencing difficulty in their relationships, or in life generally.
